MARSEILLES — Police are seeking information on a criminal damage case involving railroad property near Marseilles. The La Salle County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were called out to an area east of Marseilles along the CSX railroad, where several switches were tampered with. Authorities say the tampering caused a “minor derailment,” stating that a slow moving train car went off the track near US Route 6 and East 2575th Road. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call the La Salle County Sheriff’s Office.
