An Illinois congressman wants veterans to record their experiences to be shared with generations to come. U.S. Rep. Dan Lipinski is partnering with the Library of Congress to bring the Veterans History Project to Chicago. The project collects, saves and shares personal stories from veterans of any conflict, including the Cold War. Lipinski says that with more veterans dying each day, it’s “imperative that the first-hand stories of their military experiences be preserved.”
