Three Arrested After Attempted Ottawa Wheel Thefts

OTTAWA – Three people from Michigan were arrested after police stopped what appeared to be a theft of rims and tires from new vehicles at a dealership in Ottawa. Early Tuesday morning according to the Ottawa Police Department officers spotted a suspicious vehicle parked at Bill Walsh Chevrolet and met with the driver to investigate. During the investigation a number of vehicles were found to have had been put on blocks with tires and rims stolen. After following footprints two other subjects were detained. Arrested were 32-year-old Tamara C Young and 45-year-old Bari S Myricks of Lansing, Michigan and 32-year-old Weston D. McDaniels of Onondaga, Michigan. They were charged with Unlawful Damage to a Vehicle and posted $150 bond.
