MARSEILLES – The mandatory evacuation for Marseilles was lifted Thursday however the Illinois River is still running 10-15 feet above normal, so residents were cautioned they could be asked to leave again with short notice. Ottawa High School remained closed due to the high waters and the flooding of Green Street. Dee Bennett Road remains flooded in Utica as well as Ben Samek Road south of Peru. A Flood Warning remains in effect along area rivers.
