OSWEGO – One person is being hospitalized and another person is in custody after a stabbing that was stopped when a witness retrieved a firearm to chase off the suspect. According to the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office on Monday police were called to a dispute at a residence in the 100 block of Harbor Drive in Oswego Township. A witness had heard the altercation between the victim and the suspect and saw multiple wounds being inflicted with a knife. The witness retrieved an AR-15 style rifle from their residence and was able to stop the attacker, who then fled the scene. The witness did have a valid carry license and owners card. The suspect was located by responding officers and taken to Kendall County Jail where bond has yet to be set.
