OTTAWA – An Ottawa man was arrested on drug charges after an investigation into an alleged robbery of a cell phone. On February 14th according to the Ottawa Police Department a woman in the 200 block of West Main Street reported having her phone taken. No injuries occurred in the robbery and after a brief investigation a warrant was issued for a suspect. Ottawa Detectives interviewed and later arrested 19-year-old Joshua N. Salters and charged him with Robbery, Theft and two drug charges as he was alleged to have cocaine and alprazolam in his possession. Salters was taken to the LaSalle County Jail and is being held on $500,000 bond.
