LASALLE – One person has been hospitalized and no suspect identified in an early Wednesday morning shooting in LaSalle. According to LaSalle police a little after 1 AM they were called to the 500 block of 7th Street for a man who had been shot. The victim was taken to a hospital in Peoria where his condition is not known at this time. The victim and witnesses at the scene could only describe the person who allegedly shot him as a black male. The LaSalle Police Department and the Illinois State Police are continuing their investigation and in a statement they do not believe the incident was random. Anyone with any information is asked to contact the LaSalle Police.
