STREATOR – A Saturday afternoon collision between a truck and train resulted in no injuries but a ticket was issued to the driver. According to the Streator Police Department around 2 PM a Peoria man was driving west on East Main Street and allegedly drove around the down gates and flashing lights at the railroad crossing. The truck was struck by a northbound Burlington Northern train. No injuries were reported and the the truck driver was cited for Disobeying a Signal Indicating the Approach of a Train.
