SENECA – The Grundy County Coroner’s Office say in a release that a body found Thursday afternoon in a pond may be related to a man missing from Michigan. Authorities were called by fishermen to a pond near US Route 6 and Seneca Road near Seneca where they discovered a body of someone who appeared to have drowned. According to John W. Callahan, Grundy County Coroner, the identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, however, he did go on to state that the death may be related to the crash at the eastbound ramp of the Seneca exit last winter. A vehicle was recovered on December 8th after what appears to be a minor traffic accident, but the driver, a 45-year-old Michigan man, was never found.
