STREATOR – The Streator Fire Department extinguished a small fire in the ceiling of a home early Saturday. According to the Streator Fire Department, they were contacted before 8 AM for smoke coming from the ceiling and roof of the home in the block of 200 West Ninth Street. Responders arrived finding light smoke coming from a roof vent and the door of the residence. Once inside, firefighters found a small fire in an exhaust fan mounted in the ceiling. Firefighters were on the scene for about 45 minutes.
