Prosecutors: Blood and Tarp Found in Home Connected to Andersen Case

HENNEPIN – Remnants of a tarp found in Standard may be from the one used to bury Deborah Dewey according to the Illinois State Police. An Illinois State Police crime scene investigator, Darrel Stafford was called to the stand Tuesday in the trial of Clifford Andersen, the man charged with concealment and murder of Dewey. In his testimony, they claim that strips of a blue tarp discovered on the corner of the garage near where the victims body was discovered buried were the same as the tarp Dewey was found wrapped in. Additionally, blood and blue material assumed to be from the same tarp were also found inside the home in Standard. The prosecution will continue to present evidence Tuesday afternoon.
