Corn Holding Up Even If Prices Aren’t

OTTAWA – Crops are entering their most critical month, according to the LaSalle County Farm Bureau. Despite not having rain these past few weeks, President David Isermann says corn crops are holding up well. The corn is far along in its journey to harvest, the most labor-intensive part of the growing season. Isermann says all six major commodities of crops have lost around 20-billion dollars in value. With the White House at war with tariffs in China, he believes farmers are bearing the brunt and hopes for a quick resolution.
