Corn Crop Good; Could Be Better

File Photo Studstill Media
LASALLE – Corn crops aren’t faring as well as anticipated, according to the LaSalle County Farm Bureau. The corn crops took the biggest hit, due to the dry spell the county experienced this past month according to David Isermann, President of the Lasalle County Farm Bureau. However, he says the soybeans are holding up better. With the more recent rainfall in some areas of the county, the soybeans have benefited the most, as they start to turn. Isermann says the corn crop is still good, but not exactly what he hoped for this season.
