UTICA – A Utica Police Officer was struck by a vehicle while conducting a traffic stop Monday night. The LaSalle County Sheriff’s Office reports that around 9:45 p.m. an officer for the village of Utica was near the intersection of US 178 and US RT6 when he was struck. The officer and the motorist were not identified and the extent of his injuries, if any, were not disclosed. The incident is still under investigation.
