MARSEILLES – A public hearing will be held on October 17th to share details on the Housing Rehabilitation Grant the city of Marseilles is apply for. The Marseilles City Council announced yesterday that they received an additional $10,000 in backing to acquire the grant to refurbish and rebuild homes in the city. The grant, from the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, was arranged in part with cooperation from the North Central Illinois Council of Governments. Potentially over a half a million dollars would be available for citizens to use.
