PERU – The City of Peru is pushing for a final decision from the City of LaSalle on a property for a multi jurisdiction facility. In a shared services committee meeting on Monday, City of Peru’s Mayor Scott Harl expressed frustration at the slowness on committing to the property located behind the CVS on Shooting Park Drive and Route 251. LaSalle Mayor Jeff Grove says he feels like the committee is moving too fast, and although the city of LaSalle may be close to reaching a decision, Grove says he wants to make sure the Fraternal Order of Police is on board with the decision. Grove requested that the City of Peru give them more time to go back to council to reach an agreement.
