MENDOTA – Mendota Police are looking for a motorcyclist who evaded them after a pursuit Halloween night. After 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday they received a report of three motorcycles traveling at a high rate of speed on US Route 34 near I-39. Officers spotted the three in town and attempted a traffic stop when one allegedly began to flee. Speeds exceeded 100 mph as the one cycle left town north on US Route 251. The pursuit was called off once into Lee County. The Mendota Police are still seeking information as to the identity of the fleeing subject.
