LASALLE – A fire on the 1500 block of North Joliet Street in LaSalle significantly damaged a home on Monday. Just after 12:30 p.m. multiple are fire departments were called to the scene. No injuries were reported. No residents were home at the time, but according to the occupant 4 cats and two birds were inside and were not found. Around 11 p.m. last night crews were called back to the home after flames were spotted near the roof. Crews extinguished the fire once again. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
