OTTAWA – The LaSalle County Health Department’s Great American Smoke Out event is happening Thursday. The Great American Smoke Out is an event that challenges smokers to quit for at least one day, and is sponsored by the American Cancer Society. The LaSalle County Health Department would like to encourage everyone to join in on the campaign against smoking, which is the most preventable cause of death from cancer in the United States.
