DEKALB – The Dekalb County Sheriff’s Office is warning the public of a phone scam that claims to be from the Sheriff’s Office. Many residents are reporting receiving a call from a number (815-895-7260) and claiming to be an Officer Warren. The caller then asks the residents for payment for missing Jury Duty. Authorities reminds residents that they would never call the public in an attempt to solicit money and that all calls of this nature are attempts to scam money. They also remind residents to never give out personal information or send money over the phone.
