PEORIA – Two people were pronounced dead after being shot early Tuesday morning in Peoria. Peoria Police say a shot spotter alert alerted them to an incident in the 200 block of East Virginia where four shots had been fired. Authorities state two men were found, one on the ground near a vehicle and the other in the vehicle. The man on the ground was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead, while the man in the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. There is no suspect information at this time and authorities say the incident is under investigation.
