OGLESBY – Illinois Valley Community College will have no tuition increase for the 2019-2020 school year. According to the board’s audit finance committee, IVCC will freeze tuition at 133 per credit hour for the summer, fall and spring semesters. IVCC says they’re hopeful that keeping costs down along with the addition of new programs will help enrollment. According to IVCC’s Spring enrollment comparison data, enrollment has slightly declined since 2017. In the Spring semester of 2017, IVCC had a headcount of nearly 3200 students compared to 2600 this year. Currently, 2019 Spring enrollment is down 12 percent compared to last year and down 7 percent in credit hours. The administration will seek approval for the tuition freeze to the entire board, February 14th.
