TONICA – The American Red Cross will host a blood drive in honor of a local volunteer firefighter. Evan Knoblauch of Oglesby, was diagnosed in 2017 with Ewing Sarcoma, a cancerous tumor that progressed to his lungs. Knoblauch is still undergoing cancer treatments and continues to fight for his life. He wants to give back and thank the many people who donate blood and continue to help save his life. The community is invited to give blood and celebrate life with Knoblauch at a special blood drive held in his name, Monday March 18th from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at United Methodist Church in Tonica.
