SPRING VALLEY – Blunt force trauma was allegedly the cause of death of a Spring Valley woman found dead in her apartment, Friday. According to the Spring Valley police department and the Bureau County Coroner’s Office, an autopsy Monday of 28-year-old Marissa S. Roberts revealed the preliminary cause of death was blunt force trauma. Roberts was found dead in her apartment on Ponsetti Drive, Friday night. Robert’s boyfriend, whom police say lived at that address, is being held for a parole violation in Dane County Wisconsin. Early Saturday morning 37-year-old Eddie Lee Mentgen was detained by Wisconsin State Police. No other charges against him have been filed at this time. The homicide remains under investigation by the Spring Valley Police Department, the Bureau County States Attorney’s Office and the Bureau County Coroner’s Office.
