OGLESBY – Illinois Valley Community College will pilot a Transfer Academy this fall. The program allows dual credit high school students to be released in the afternoon for classes at Ottawa Center. Through the initiative, high school students can complete all general education courses over four semesters, with the possibility of summer courses needed. The schedule is well suited to students pursuing studies in humanities, social sciences and those uncertain of what their major will be. IVCC is developing a plan to allow dual credit students seeking STEM-related careers to attend classes on main campus.
