PAW PAW – Recyclables picked up from Paw Paw have been reported 65 percent contaminated with food refuse. According to Republic Services Waste Disposal, China is no longer accepting any foreign recyclables and garbage. Republic Services is requesting a .68 cent increase in each household’s monthly garbage bill to cover cost of paying for recycling. According to the Paw Paw Board, the request is under consideration after the already yearly increase of 3.5 percent. April 29th and 30th will be the semi-yearly town clean-up and garbage pick-up.
