Jenna Manigold is IVCH Employee of the Year

PERU – An occupational therapist praised by co-workers for having exceptional dedication to patient care is the winner of the 2019 Buckman Family Employee of the Year Award at Illinois Valley Community Hospital in Peru. Ottawa resident Jenna Manigold received multiple nominations for the award from IVCH employees both inside and outside her department, the Center of Physical Rehabilitation and Aquatics.
” Her persistence in improving the patients quality of life is simply relentless,” said physical therapist Alison Theisinger.
“Jenna is always willing to give a helping hand ans is a true team player. She approaches each patient with enthusiasm, empathy and strives to provide the best care possible,” read a nomination from another IVCH occupational therapist, Amy Bolelli.
More than one of Manigold’s nominations mentioned she has a special knack for helping patients adapt and adjust to wearing braces and other orthotic devices.
The Buckman Award was established in 1994 by the family of the late George Buckman, who has been a long-time member of the IVCH board of directors. Buckman’s wife, Elaine, is Vice President of the IVCH Foundation board, which annually selects the Buckman Award winner from nominations submitted by IVCH employees.
Manigold is the 26th recipient of the award.
