
OTTAWA – The LaSalle County Health Department is collecting birds to look for West Nile Virus. Crows, Blue Jays and Robins will be collected. According to the health department, over the past seventeen years, West Nile virus activity has been documented throughout LaSalle County. If you find a dead bird of the said breed, please contact the Health Department’s Environmental Health Division. The collection process will continue until October.
