PRINCETON – Bureau County Board approved general obligation bonds for the construction of a law enforcement center and jail at Tuesday night’s meeting. The ordinance states that the bonds will not exceed $12.3 million. In addition to the bonds, the board also voted to approve a Project Labor Agreement for the county jail, which would ensure that local individuals would work on the project and that there would be no work stoppages.  The current jail can hold thirty-six inmates and was built in 1973.
