GRAND RIDGE – LaSalle County Sheriffs Office and the Grand Ridge Fire Department presented the“ Cape of Honor “ award to a 5-year-old boy. Authorities say, the boy was able to assist his grandfather after he had been pinned under his ATV, listening to directions in how to maneuver the ATV to get him out from under it and assisted in calling 911. The young man had the strength, courage, and the ability to stay calm in an emergency situation.
