LASALLE – LaSalle Alderman discussed increasing the fine for vacant buildings at Monday night‘s Meeting. Alderman Reynolds expressed a desire for raising the fine to $2,500 a month to reduce the number of empty buildings that have not been worked on. He explained than an ordinance was passed in March of 2014, which required that owners of vacant builders have a vacant building plan, but he believes the fine for these vacant buildings should increase to encourage the owners to do something with the buildings.
