Ottawa transitions to fob security

OTTAWA – The city of Ottawa is in the process of upgrading their security system. According to Mayor Dan Aussem, the city has already installed fob security at their police and fire stations, now they’re extending those upgrades to city hall and public works buildings.
Aussem says the goal is to make sure those that are no longer affiliated with the city have access to buildings like city hall.

Aussem says the fob system may be used for time keeping for public works staff. At Tuesday nights council meeting, a quote from Cops Incorporated was approved for 12,000 dollars to extend the fob system.
