Two rescued from vehicle that veered into ravine in Spring Valley


SPRING VALLEY – An SUV veered off of the roadway and into a ravine in Spring Valley, Monday. According the the Spring Valley Fire Department just before 1 p.m., they and mutual aid from Ladd and Peru were called to 600 east Cleveland Street with EMS for a rescue of two occupants trapped in the vehicle that went off of the roadway and into a ravine. Crews then made a technical rescue using ropes and stokes baskets to remove the occupants from the ravine. Both occupants were transported to an area hospital with unknown injuries at this time. Also assisting were Spring Valley Police and Spring Valley Public Works department.
