PERU – A LaSalle man was arrested after an investigation into reported methamphetamine and cocaine sales in Peru. According to the Peru Police Department, on Monday 40-year-old Larry A. Chandler was arrested for unlawful delivery of a controlled substance. Authorities say it is alleged that in May, Chandler allegedly delivered cocaine in Peru as part of a Peru Police Special Investigations undercover police operation. Police also say that during the investigation, numerous individuals delivered both cocaine and methamphetamine in May and June in Peru. Chandler was taken to the LaSalle County Jail and is is being held on a $50,000 bond. Police also say that during the investigation, numerous individuals delivered both cocaine and methamphetamine in May and June in Peru and sealed arrest warrants against several other individuals were issued.
