OTTAWA – Ottawa’s I-80 pedestrian bridge project is moving into its construction phase with plans going out to bid in the near future. Mayor Dan Aussem says the city is waiting on easements from businesses in order to move sidewalk where the bridge will be on the west side of Route 23. At Tuesday night’s city council meeting officials approved a construction agreement with designers, I-MEG to facilitate construction. The city will fund 20% of the $2.5 million project.
