OTTAWA – The LaSalle County Board unanimously voted to move forward with plans to cleanup a private property in LaSalle. At Thursday afternoon’s board meeting, a resolution was authorized to cleanup a rural 1.29 acre property at 290 N. 35th Road in LaSalle. Environmental Services and Land Use Director Brian Gift says the property has been an ongoing issue for several years, with enough garbage and debris to fill up to 5 semi truck loads. He says the board will be able to finance the project through their professional services budget and could cost anywhere from 10 to $15,000. The statute allows for the fast track of cleanup that is expected to begin within the budget year.
