
MENDOTA – A park shelter was damaged in Mendota on Friday by a small fire. Around 3:45 PM a Conservation Police Officer was patrolling Lake Kakusha and noticed smoke coming from one corner of the shelter. The Mendota Fire Department was called and they quickly extinguished the fire. The Mendota Police are investigating the cause of the blaze and the building will be closed off until repairs can be made. The shelter was built in 1991.
