Thornton Park designs include splash pad and preserving classics

OTTAWA – Concept designs that Ottawa residents took part in developing for Thornton Park features amenities both young and old can appreciate. Last week residents got to survey various idea boards for Thornton Park as well as voice whether to keep some classic concrete pieces. Based off of residents surveys, the city and Upland Designs included a splash pad by popular demand, more space for the Honey Locust trees and preserving the parks historic concrete pieces by giving them a special garden area. The plans also includes a playground and two tennis and pickle ball courts. An additional survey was handed out to residents to give final inputs on the design plan to be approved of August 6th.
