PRINCETON – The community gathered for a night of fun, education, and entertainment at the National Night Out in Princeton Tuesday night. The Princeton Police Department and the Bureau County Sheriff’s Office were on hand along with other community organizations to promote the National Night Out, the yearly event to bring awareness about law enforcement programs available to residents. Children and adults were at Soldiers and Sailors park until sunset learning about what police officers do and their K-9 partners, who did a demonstration on drug location and apprehending a suspect.
Princeton Police Chief Tom Kammerer said they couldn’t have asked for better weather and had a great turnout from the community.
