Car crashes into bank after collision in Peru injures two

PERU – Two people were transported to local area hospitals after a collision on Illinois 251 and Wenzel Road that ended with one vehicle crashing into Midland Bank on Tuesday night in Peru. According to Peru Fire Chief Jeff King, just after 8 p.m., a two vehicle accident occurred between an SUV and a sedan at the intersections of Illinois 251 and Wenzel Road. King says the driver of the sedan was reportedly so shaken up that they forget to put the vehicle in park after the accident.

The driver of the Sedan sustained no injuries, however Peru EMS says two people involved were transported to local area hospitals.
