PADS Shelter in Ottawa, “overwhelmed” with donations

OTTAWA – PADS Shelter in Ottawa received an influx of lunch supplies after expressing a desperate need last week. Assistant Director Barbara Hall says the shelter is overwhelmed with joy from the generous donations they’ve received these past four days after announcing a scarcity on lunch items, Friday. Donors like US Silica went above and beyond to replenish the shelter with toiletries, cleaning supplies and various food items. In addition, the shelter received over 300 wish-list items. Currently, the Ottawa shelter is at capacity serving 65 clients, including 14 children.
