ALTOONA, PA – A man suffered severe injuries last week after he allegedly lit a quarter stick of dynamite and proceeded to hold it until it detonated. The Altoona Police were called to the 1000 blk. of N. 2nd St. in the Juniata section of Altoona for report of an explosion inside of a residence. The officers found the man with severe injuries inside of the home. It was also discovered that the man was allegedly under the influence of methamphetamine. He was taken to a hospital with serious injuries. The investigation is still ongoing.
