Lee Co. farmers learn about 2018 Farm Bill programs

SUBLETTE – Farmers of Lee County gathered at Rod’s Seed Building in Sublette to learn more about the farm programs of the 2018 Farm Bill. USDA’s Lee County Executive Director Jerald B. Quinton broke down four programs, Price Loss Coverage,  Ag Risk County Coverage, Ag Risk Individual Coverage and Supplemental Coverage, that would help protect farmers revenue from changes in market condition.

Regardless of which program option farmers select for 2019 and 2020, the following year through 2023 you are still required to file acreage reports for the designated filing periods for fall and spring seeded plantings. Sign up for the programs is through March 15th, 2020.
