Freedom House in Princeton remembers domestic violence victims this month

PRINCETON – The month of October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and Freedom House in Princeton is remembering victims with Silhouettes displayed at Soldiers and Sailors Park. Freedom House is the domestic and sexual violence agency for Bureau, Henry, Marshall, Putnam, and Stark counties. Through October 12th, Soldiers and Sailors Park will have “Silent Witness” red silhouettes displayed representing the women and children who were victims of domestic violence homicides throughout the community over the years. On October 9th, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Soldiers and Sailors, a candlelight vigil for domestic violence survivors and their families will take place.
