PERU – Construction for Peru’s North Peoria Roadway improvement and roundabout project will begin soon. On Monday night, the city approved a $3.9 million dollar bid from Advanced Asphalt to take on the project, with some of the work set to start this fall. City Engineer Eric Carls says most of the work will be done next construction season. The project includes the proposed roundabout at the intersection of Plank Road and Sunset Drive and the widening of Peoria Street.
