First freeze of the season coming our way

OTTAWA – The first frost of the season is touching down in North Central Illinois overnight. A freeze warning is in effect  beginning at 2 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Saturday for LaSalle County, which includes Ottawa, Streator, Peru, LaSalle and Mendota. According to Weatherology Meteorologist Ray Miller, most of the area will wake up to find some frost on the ground.  

 
By Saturday afternoon through Columbus Day temperatures will be typical for fall, sunny and windy, highs in the mid 50s.
