OTTAWA – The city of Ottawa has already voted to collect a 3% tax on recreation cannabis, however some residents have expressed their objection to allowing the sale of cannabis in the city. Residents spoke at Monday night’s meeting about banning the drug, saying that they felt cannabis was dangerous and addictive. Mayor Aussem has said that there will be a public hearing to discuss the legality of cannabis in Ottawa in the future.
