SPRING VALLEY – Spring Valley’s city council put together a list of procedures for approval of at-home solar energy.
According to the city’s new code, all applicants for building permits to install residential solar energy systems will be subject to a $250 electrical and structural inspection by the city’s building inspector and an electrician chosen by the city. The electrical inspector’s purpose is to review the solar project to ensure a checklist of seven requirements have been completed in accordance with provisions of the National Electric Code.
