CHICAGO – LaSalle and Putnam county’s gas price average dropped over the past month. According to the American Automobile Association, Putnam County has the cheapest prices locally at $2.49 cents per gallon, over a ten cent decrease compared to last month. LaSalle County’s average gas price fell by 8 cents, now at $2.52 per gallon. Bureau County’s average remained identical to last months prices, at $2.60, the most expensive locally. Statewide gas prices made a drop as well, at $2.65 compared to $2.79 last month.
