GARDNER – A crash between a tractor trailer and a passenger vehicle took the life of a Grundy County woman on Thursday evening. According to the Grundy County Coroner John W. Callahan 35-year-old Samantha M. Serena was reportedly traveling westbound on Goodfarm Road when she struck a tractor-trailer hauling soybeans going south. The trailer spilled open leaving a large amount of soybeans on the ground. Serena was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash remains under investigation by the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office and the Coroner.
